My friends it is with great pleasure to inform you that I have been granted permission to stay in Sweden. My family will reunite me in the coming months. This is a double victory as it coincided with the Obamas victory as the President of the United States of America.
N:B. Thank you AD poets for what you have done for me during my struggle to get the papers. The poems you have written for me have been so powerful that they have had an impact to all those who have read them. Your support and kind assistance will ever remain shining in the depths of my inner feelings.

I and Obama walked to victory today
He was elected as a President of US
I was given permission to stay sweden
Both of us are committed to serve humanity
But in capacities that are far different
He as a president, I as a poet of peace
Our combined efforts will make a change
Mister Abdi-Noor, friend and brother, welcome to Sweden. Although I am here too as a exilic foreign I am happy that you choose this country to find a peaceful transcition for your life.

PRAISE GOD for your being granted asylum, and your family, too! He heard one of my prayers, at least ... I didn't vote for Barack Obama. McCain's beliefs closer to mine ... but you get to stay in Sweden! Congratulations! My heart breaks, though, for those who were not given the same opportunity as you and yours ... you are blessed.
