For the past seven months I have been writing and collecting stories of the immigrants and refugees in Sweden and while doing this noble job I have not only viewed migration from different angles of human concern but also learned so much from other people and cultures. It would be good to contact you if you are an immigrant or a refugee in Sweden or even in other countries or lands.
You are an immigrant you are a refugee
You have sought asylum in a new country
Your life has been changed in many ways
You have identities nof different types
You have ethnic and national identities
You have social identity, religious identity
Cultural identity and gender identity
All constitute the center of your existence
They shall be set in a collision course
Unless you avoid the causes of their conflict
The further away you move from your center
The greater the chances of identity clashes
Preserve your legacy by writing your migration story
Hold on your past while focusing on the present
Migration is a phenomena of a global scale
It is not a stigma one should be ashamed of
Your story can survive many generations
It can be a source of inspiration
It can be a resource to enrich world cultures
It could also be a reference to academic works

Immigration, legal and illegal in America is unfortunately at epidemic proportions. The federal government issues 125,000 H1B visas per month. Just the legal immigrants alone create a city the size of Philadelphia, PA each year. A number unsustainable by our fragile ecosystem and natural resources. When you add in the one to two million crossing our borders illegally each year one can see we have an untenable scenario in America. There are currently 14+ million unemployed legal Americans. At the same time there are 8+ million illegal immigrants employed full time. The aggro among legal Americans is large and growing as you can imagine. We now have 35+ million illegal immigrants in America. Our economy is in the dregs, our health care system overrun with people who pay nothing and those that do and must pay being overburdened with the additional costs. Our energy demands are over inflated due to the additional 35+ million illegal immigrants as are our schools. Our ecology is being stressed with the extra demands being place upon it also. Our crime rates are up and our prisons overburdened. Immigration is a major issue in America. The truly unfortunate thing is that the majority of the illegal immigrants do not want to be assimilated into American society. Our situation is a tedious one here in America regarding illegal immigration and legal immigration. It is not an issue of diversity with the majority of America's citizens. It is an issue of immigration laws being violated and not enforced by our government. It is an issue of immigrants entering our nation and demanding they have the same rights as legal citizens with access to all of our welfare and entitlement systems which are being taken from those who have paid for them, legal American citizens. The gangs of legal and illegal immigrants are creating civil unrest throughout America. Abdi-Noor, immigration is a multifaceted, major sociopolitical issue in America and throughout Europe. Our relatives in England and Germany tell similar distressing stories of how they are being tested financially and socially. All are welcome to my nation who would enter legally and when we can reasonably accept them. When that time comes we only ask, that you be willing to live as an American and to call yourself only that, an American. Not a French American, German American or African American, just an American. Speak our language, assimilate into our society. Earn what you get. Pay your fair share of our burden. Immigration is a major issue globally Abdi-Noor. I bid you love and peace my dear friend.
