The reciprocate of peace is peace nothing more, nothing less.
NB: Al-shabaab is an Islamic extremist group implicated to have links with Al- Qaeda, now controlling famine-stricken regions of Somalia, denying victims access to food and medical care, thus forcing them to flee to a refugee camp in Kenya which is already overflowing with refugees.
I wrote this when i read articles on Christian organizations collecting donations for the Somalis in the disaster area. We as Moslims are supposed o do the same when people belonging to the Christian faith are in need of help. Though differences in religion, we must be united over the cause of humanity, peace and tolerance.
The church bell is tolling
Calling for special prayers
To appeal for global help
Not to other Christians though
But to the Moslems in Somalia
Pleading Alshabaab fighters
Not to kill the Somalis
Nor deny them food aid
But to give them hope instead
Is this not a challenge to us?
The Imam must answer this.
In the archaeological birth place of humanity, Africa. Why does man's most egregious characteristic, his inhumanity to his fellow man, always find a place of rich nourishment? When grief, strife and untenable human conditions exist due to warring factions, why is Africa always on the leading edge of abject misery? Long I have pondered this question. Civilization's very roots are imbued in that continent. Yet grief is the daily sustenance of the majority of her people. Answers with reasons have evaded the most philosophically persistent. Not to assess blame but to find the root cause which will enable changes for the improvement in the lives of all her inhabitants. To her native sons I ask. Why, why?
