When you are a leader you are like a teacher. People do not only listen to you but also copy your actions. Therefore a leader must deliver a message of hope wherever he or she happens to be. Such a good leadership quality is needed to be demonstrated by all leaders world-wide especially when it comes to protection of environment. Imagine the impact it would have had on environment if all leaders of the world had walked or cycled for short distances to cut their transport and travel costs by 20% in the next decade? Wouldn’t they have moved millions of people who would do the same to reduce pollution by a high percentage? Anyway I live in Vaxjo, Sweden, the greenest city in Europe (a hard-worn trophy). Its mayor Bo Frank, prefers to walk and if at all he drives he uses a car that consumes Biogas to contribute to the protection and sustainability of the city´s environmental policies. He inspired me to write this poem when I met him and his wife Marta Elena today in the main street of Vaxjo- Storgatan.

He is the mayor
He is the leader
He is the visionary
He is the role model

You see him walking
Sometimes cycling
Never drives
Unless absolutely necessary

He is a friend to environment
He is green in heart and mind
He is a moving tree
