Behind us we have ages. We have the primitive ages, Stone age, Iron age, Medieval Ages, Dark Ages, Modern Age etc. We have gone through a long process of social and political evolution which finally culminated in the end of the cold war. We seem to have come out from the cold as rivalry between the two superpowers have ended though a new form of contest is now emerging in a different shape and form with far reaching dimensions. But still I am optimistic that this cannot shake the will of the people as the power is shifting to the base of the political pyramid not anymore milked in the apex where few decided for the many. This is happening even in countries with a dictatorship history.

Now we are in a new age. I do not know if we can call this a post modern age. But for me it is an Age of Rediscovery. The social networking and social media are changing the world and are allowing people to get access to people. In old ages people sailed to discover lands but now they are surfing to discover people, learn from each other and exchange ideas and experiences without any intervention from the conventional bureaucratic mechanism of governments and states. Alongside this, there is a fast growing cultural intercourse whereby people build bridges between cultures to avoid shocks as predicted earlier in books and in many research and academic papers.

And cultures embrace cultures
