Hundreds of thousands of people who are today living in the Diaspora are stateless and have no valid national documents. Somalia is a case in point.
They are a people without a center
People without a state of their own
Their history ceased making history
Their culture is bleeding to death
Their language is fast disappearing
Their roots are being uprooted
Their heritage is under the rubble
They can´t identify themselves in paper
They are a people without a state
They are the emerging slaves of Europe
Why can´t this issue be addressed now?
The wave of slavery that millenniums ago was the sole environ of Africans and the African continent has crept across all borders of the earth. What is now emerging is the plight of the natives of every other nation as they are being overwhelmed with refugees from Africa, the Middle-East, Latin and South America, China, India, Pakistan and every third world nation on earth. All seeking asylum in some nation of democracy and personal freedoms they have not previously known. The native inhabitants are being slowly, intentionally and systematically displaced from their homelands, their employment,their benefits their rights to exist within their homelands. Conflict exists already and will only grow as the native populations at last decide they must resist, contest, or be driven out of their homes by the waves of immigrants who are attempting to force their societies upon an existing society, culture and religions. The picture is not a pretty one Abdi-Noor. Put your senses to the pulse of the natives and your ear to the ground my dear friend. This scenario has slowly yet almost methodically progressed from nations reaching out to the oppressed with offers of sensible immigration and temporary aid to those same humanitarian nations now being overwhelmed with foreign dissidents demanding their rights, jobs, aide,education, food and housing, cultures above the natives of the nation. I fear that this will end in inevitable open conflict. Regardless of how the immigrants choose to characterize the events they have either willingly or unwittingly become political and social aggressors in the lands that offered them aid. The immigrants have wrongly assumed that the host nations owe them something above the native citizens or worse, rather than the native citizens. I am certain you can see the errors of judgement with that concept and what the possible results will ultimately be. Prosperity, peace, respect,religious freedom, equality are not guaranteed to any man. Historically all have been earned at a very high price for those that have achieved them. Why did the immigrants not resist and protest so vehemently in their native lands? The answer is of course obvious. They viewed the price to be too high. Because demanding those same freedoms in a peaceful, democratic society offers less risk of the severe penalties they encountered in their homelands. I bid you joy, love and peace my dear friend.
