I resolve to love you less
to hold back my heart
to contain my thoughts
while living under duress.
I resolve to let you go
to let you breathe
your last breath
while I bath in absurdity.
I resolve to not control
to let you soothe your own soul
to let you cry
to let me cry.
I resolve to be a friend
to smile when asked
but to let everything end.
I resolve to pretend
that we were never
more than specs
on a clump of dust
circling a star
in a single galaxy
spiraling within
a mysterious
cosmic
sea.
Sara, resolve is something that doesn't come easy, especially for those of us, that are always so ready and willing to take the bite of life, bitter or sweet, and make it our only meal for the day.
I just love that Zebra...but I couldn't help but imagine him being out in public with only his boxers on!
