Passions Pride

You lose me in the noise
of your self-important life.
To you, I know I might be
the loser lost
within internal strife.
But I, cannot give in
to a man who has no heart.
For as you know I am
a lonely loser who has
her servile passions pride.

As you work it out with Whatzizname, be assured that this is very good poetry. Every element is present. I get the tingles reading it. - Bill

What a spot to let yourself get into
such is life, sometimes we are pushed into a cornor
not of our own creation, but of circumstance
And to retain pride, no mater what label it falls under
is in itself a badge
here's to sweeter noises

This expresses so well how each and every one of us need our own sense of identity and with it our pride in ourselfs and who we are. The old saying pride before the fall may apply to the receivor of your message, but I think it is a message you needed to convey.

This is powerful and profound.
'You lose me in the noise
of your self-important life.' So many of us can relate to that.
