And it must follow as the night the day,
thou cannot then be false toward any other."

It shames me to admit that I was once a liar.
It wasn't until I quit lying that I began to live.

I like this. It echoes Christ's words, "Love others as you love yourself."

This is an interesting construct Sara. One of your best I believe, written almost as if you have been wounded deeply by liars amd manipulators.

There is some truth in it too. I would imagine that this is one of those statements that could apply to everyone that has ever lived on this planet.
I would imagine also that every human being is guilty of lying, or embellishing the facts, to protect themselves, or create an "out" from a negative, or uncomfortable situation.

Also I don't know anyone that hasn't hid behind something before. Many choose God! No ... it is never enough to say you love God, especially if one doesn't understand who God is and accept Him at His word.

I have always believed that if it sounds too good to be true, then perhaps one doesn't understand enough of the facts. I also believe that, first ... you must love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and THEN ... you must love your neighbor as yourself. I say this, and believe because One much greater than myself wrote it.

My mother said many times to us, when we were kids, that you could always tell when someone was lying by looking into their eyes while they were speaking.

The windows to the soul tell all.
