For those of you who read me: I have found heaven. It is on the North Shore of Oahu at a beautiful hotel, named Turtle Bay Resort. Yes, I do believe I can now rest in peace after having spent a couple of days here.
The above photo is a view from outside my room, which is just a few feet from the ocean. The dots you see are surfers in the early morning hours catching the first waves of the day.
The sky was so dark
and the sea was rough
I could hear the surf crashing
just a few feet away.
Anxiously I waited for some light.
I wanted to see the sun smile,
feel its warmth.
Not that the night doesn’t love me.
Oh yes, I often feel its caress
flooding me in ignorance.
It’s that I needed to be able to see
so I could see in the dark.
