Poem Artwork

I keep trying to think back
Think to the point where it happened
The point where I lost my passion

I know it happened

I know it because
Life tastes bland
Beauty looks dull
Music is sad
And joy has lost its lust

Nothing means anything
At least not anymore
Nothing matters
Not like before

Nothing is good
Nothing is bad
Nothing is right
Nothing is wrong

At this point
Nothing is nothing

That’s all.

Agonizing write. So true though when you feel this way. The nothing, numb, come undone. Excellent write. Liz

The reader is left shaking his/her head in awe, because you've captured it P E R F E C T L Y. They identify with you--this is powerfully penned emotion, Sara.

You paint a sad picture of one who has lost their love of life and now sits within themselves wondering what happened...

Every machine needs a break. Every plastic container must be emptied, at times. Every computer needs a disk-wipe and defragmentation. And our hearts and minds need a reset to zero at times, because we would run amok or get bananas otherwise. Sarah, you very nicely and consciously describe these nihilistic moments it's part of life.

Very goth flavored poetry, I do hope it's just artistic creation and not a mind set.......I think just being able about to write about the human dark side is a therapy, They say you need the bad to appreciate the good, but I say, I would be thrilled with a bland continueous hum of happy in my head lolol

this poem is more than Just Nothing
it says tons

A write all can relate to. Haven't been to your den for a while. Glad I stopped in 'cause I was just feeling these words today...but y'know sometimes 'nothing' breeds passion. Another great write from a gifted writer.

Can a person be so empty and bereft of wonder? Momentarily, I guess so. Quite often the uplifting moments in my life are punctuated by an overcast sensation from under which I languish aimlessly and oblivious to all the beauty that surronds us.
This poem found resonance with this mode of experience that resides in us all.

That empty feeling filled with nothing can sometimes be a blessing....but beware...I found that it's like the "silence before a storm"...and I have found that at that point something just gives...and leaves a crack to follow...and love might just be around waiting for that crack to enter your heart!!

Hope you will feel better soon sis!!

Guess what...Wallace will be home tomorrow...and I am going to be a granny!!

Love Tinka

at times, life has lost its zeal and appears dark and without purpose ... in these times, we must struggle to reach for the light ... you have powerfully portrayed the state of mind when the hope to retrieve this light has lost its way ...

A study on "empty", Sara...To lose one's passion, one's essence is devastating....and "That is all"...
Well conveyed and graphically defined too.

Nothing is not a good thing. Here's hoping Something replaces Nothing very soon. And that is one fabulous graphic, Sara.

This is worth getting published. One feels the futility of a life at rock bottom.

A hauting and mysterious photo heads this amazing poem.
It paints a bleak and useless day and night... for some.
Is it from holiday indulgence... leaving listless recovery?
Is it a new year with challenges... coming up short, initially?
A prediction, if you will; This too shall pass... in spades!
And, further, by Valentine's Day, surely you will want to play.
Go ahead, scrap the ideals, the ultimates, the dreams... going, instead for old fashioned affection and the desire to be told that they are loved... by someone... for that certain togetherness.
Take two... together... and call me in the morning!
- Bill

Oh I do hope this is pure fiction, for the futality and sadness of a life withoug passion is so achingly painful that it almost makes me cry. Passion comes in many forms and though people think mostly of passion as somthing sexual it can be somthing as humble as the desire to watch your grandchildren at play. If it is true I hope you find that passion again my Freind Sara for it is there close by I am sure just waiting to be found.
