I hadn’t planned on writing a poem tonight. But I read one from Robert Jude Ace; commented for the first time in a long time, which showed me I had some reviews left unseen. Sorry. So I clicked into the dens of my reviewers where I read another that left me knowing of the feeling I was reading. I decided to turn my review on a poem from Neerja Ghandi, into my own.

lawful unions suck,
this much i know.
and the trees,
with their bountiful leaves,
only block out the light.
one day i’ll step away,
into the sun
where there is no separation
from love and light.
and set into the free
of me.
sometimes "commitments" keep one bogged down and out of the light of love ... i hope whenever you decide to step, you do it with all your heart's conviction ... well written poem, very effective discourse, Sara ...

YAY lets chop down all trees.. I read the first line as Union Jack at first..lol
Your first two lines are quite shocking... even for an older bird who has flown many a mile, and helped create nesting in several places. "The free of me..." How well described and indulging! The whole poem is amazingly accurage and self contained... saying what needs to be said and no more.
Some day, perhaps, mankind will provide for "flights of fancy... in which each partner is entitled to a bit of waywardness for battery charging. Do you think this would imporve us... or not? - Bill
