I'm still trying to learn the rules. I vote 'b', how about you?

(a)

Sometimes, it is easier to hide in the dark.

Knowing light can blind one, to, or from, what is right.

I know I am not perfect, but it is on my life I embark

Joining you in yours, would be a denial of my fight.

If I trusted anyone, I would trust in You;

but since I trust no one, then We cannot do.

So while I love you madly and with all my heart,

I fear the time is approaching, where you and I must depart.

(b)

Sometimes, it is easier to hide in the dark.

Knowing light can blind one, to, or from, what is right.

I know I am not perfect, but it is on my life I embark;

Joining you in yours, would be a denial of my fight.

If I trusted anyone, I would trust in You;

but since I trust no one, then We shall do, :-)

Because I love you madly and with both of our hearts,

I know in time - darkness - will be all that departs.

I like "A" best, but I like the last two lines of "B" better- the "we cannot do" seems better than the "we shall do" because it makes more sense with the start of the sentence it is in. Whichever you do, it is a good poem, and boy, can i ever relate, lol.

B...Giving in to the fear of mistrust never helped anyone...b shows an overcoming of fear and hope in the future.

the darkness can be lonely and the light can be dangerous, a catch 22, but in time.... Well written.

My pal, parallelism-- two line lovers connected periodically with perpendicular spacers-- move steamy dreams like locomotives-- when separated, the dream trains derail.

Here's to hoping yours never do.

'b' 100%. Always. Darkness (ignorance) sets us apart. Light unifies.

Hiding in the shadows, wanting to see the Light...beautifully expressed, but more powerfully in "B". =] Well done, Sara.

I think I like A the best, it shows your doubts and fears but still...offers just a touch of hope that who knows...

"b" is for me.
"a" is for pessimists.
Noting ventured,
nothing .......
Love begins by meeting half way.
You write, right well.

Hi Sara,

Love makes us all vulnerable to being hurt and feeling emotional pain. The power of love will often play mind games--let your heart guide you to the right decision.

You offer choices and you offer them well but what do we really settle for in the end? I like how you approached and handled this, it's more than clever, Sara, it's penetrating.

Hi Sara. I like "b" better as well although both express what you feel and are worthy of reflection. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

Sara,

A heartfelt poem about someone seemingly afraid of getting hurt.
