I haven’t forgotten that you are there
I know, I know life is unfair
Always making us think we live on a dare
When all we want is to look at each other and stare
But at no means ever, ever have an affair
So here think of me now
As I try to connect with you somehow
Hoping you can feel me meow
As I brush up against your brow
With no whisper of a vow
It’s just true friends that I seek
Always looking for the meek
So lets step inside each other’s minds and take a peek
Not knowing exactly of what we seek
Hopefully of something other than hit parade of the week or weak
