The Shadow Of The Sacred Tree
© 2014 Easter - Sherry Bach
If the road is long and winding
And the river straight
With mountains too tall to climb
If the valley becomes flooded
Water running down
Drowning flowers of every kind
If there was no sunshine
Darkness in its place
Rocks slippery covered in moss
I would still be left in silence
No words could I speak
To explain the considered loss
Of not being near you
The light in your eyes
Your laugh, the way you shine
It must go on forever
Magic dust sparkling
Over and over a thousand times
And when the clock is ticking
Feel it in your soul
It can and will set you free
But til then from a distance
See it in the light
The shadow of the sacred tree
