How can I make myself forget
All the nights I spent with you
Tossing inside my head
Those empty-night visions chased with you
When the morning came
The sunrise cleared my skies of you
I opened my eyes to find
A calm-quiet dawn still chased with you
How can I find my way back
To those silent-dark dreams
Lift my head up high
Breathe in, take a deep scream
Catch it not once, twice
Have the spell begin to fold
Relax the tense muscles tight
As my eyes begin to close
A silent morning top
Fades to let the sun shine in
Life creates surroundment
As the wounds fade to hidden
Shadows sulk, people talk
As the sun reverses west to east
Never knowing, thoughts of slumber
The wishes for day-pass decrease
Now lay my head down
Where did we leave off
Kiss my lids closed
The night sky shows the moon aloft
How can I make myself forget
All the thoughts that have and been
How can I ease myself into
Your dreams once again
