Our mother is that smiling face that looks at us each day
She offers her fulfilling self with nothing to be paid
A mother gives you friendship when no one else is there
She offers her help and lends an ear when no one seems to care
A mother wraps her arms around you and hugs you ever so tight
She runs her fingers through your hair - All will be all right
A mother chases monsters away so you can sleep
She sits there silently in the dark just to watch you sleep
A mother wipes away your tears when your heart is breaking
She asks for nothing in return, her love is there for the taking
A mother gives you friendship during both good and bad
She's there with arms wide open when all you feel is sad
A mother shares a smile with you that touches your heart and soul
She is the life giving part of us that makes our family whole
A mother's love is something special that cannot ever be replaced
It is the smile that shines in her eyes the moment she sees your face
A mother wipes away your pain with her loving touch
The love she gives to each of us fills us up so much
A mother nurses you back to health when you are feeling ill
She makes it easy to love her; She makes each day a thrill.
