What type of poem am I?

Poem Artwork

“ What type of poem am I?”
I am formless as the clouds,
and as elegiac as the silence,
in the itinerary of the noise.

I am not a classic
written by the author, “God.”
The rhythms of my verses are supplied
by the parable of their tears.

I am not in me
though I abide in me.
I am but a color,
whose colors have worn away.

May be I was written with
an ethical effect of the modern art.
Or may be I was not written
but just replicated from their life.

I wish I could read the critics mind.
Is it true that a poem cannot read anybody?
But I loathe the way they recite me
pretending to understand me.

My be I am,
the monologue of my rhymes.
Or may be I am,
the literature of my own life.

However much they hate me,
I am that poetry they cannot write.
I am the phantom of the world
crawling with a rose in the hand
through the boulevard of the thorns.

However much they praise me,
I am only a drop of verse
drawn up by the time
to become the formless clouds
in the wilderness of the literary sky.

O Poet! O my maker!
“What type of poem am I?”
O strangers! O my readers!
”What type of poem am I?”

I wish I could read me
and discern my spirit.
Is it true that a poem
cannot read a poem?

“ Am I a poem?”
or am I just a rhymed hoax.
Out of greed for the
joys of the immortality.

This cyclic curiosity goes on eternally.
I am lost in a synthesis between
the dualism of my readers
and the monism of my maker.

No one knows what its like to be a poem.
No one knows how vague is its core.
There is nothing as genuine as me.
There is nothing as deceptive as me.

Most people are prose, a long list of words that tell a meandering story of their lives, but a rare jewel is a person who is themselves a poem for it is from them we learn how to express emotions in words, and put emotions to words. You, my friend, are a living poem.

Great piece to stimulate the mind B. Your heart is a caring heart, it overflows in your poems and writing. Personally I feel that if you were a poem, everyone who read you would be a better person afterwards. G

Remarkable. Never met a thinking poem, that is introspective too.

Like the paradox at the end.

"... I am but a color whose colors have worn away..." it does not get any clearer than that, Bhuwan! Love this piece, Poet. Masterfully expressed-- however "vague is its core"... so much insight, so much fodder... Thank you.

Bhuwan, I can hardly comment when you write like this!
It is as if divinity is speaking through you
words that can only be inspired by spirit with a heart
and soul imbued with passion! When you write like this
you are poetry itself...

There is more poetry in one line of that face than a pen could ever express; she holds all the past, present and future there, together with the hopes and the fears of all ages. Your poetry is in your being and in your prodigious talent to translate your essence into living word that breathes with the breath and fruitfulness of your own life. We do not ask "what type of poem" your are, Bhuwan... only know that your ARE POETRY. Continue to shine your love and your light into dark places and be safe and well... LOL Kate xx

Dramatic Melody I think that's what the teacher told me. It's beautiful and a poem of question I know i ask alot. But know I tell the truth of how your poems touches me. And this one touched me so directly of my own thoughts and wonderings.
have no fear you are one Excellent and talented poet. I love the way you said "I am poetry they cannot write". Absolutely true! A very Unique style w/ solid attraction of mind and soul touching.

Wow, this is fantastic! It asks eternal questions all poets wonder. But you can rest assured, dear Bhuwan, that I don't give empty reviews. I ponder your poetry. It asks universal questions and often illuminates all in the same piece. Your words definitely inspire me.

Hugs,
Mari
