enclosed within

of the feudal certainties
erected by a false shimmer
of the social hierarchy
as the huge ferns that sprout
momentarily from the damp
before tiny death’s inexorable decree.

Often it is the fastest flourishing that are cut down quickest, or fade quickly leaving but a fleeting legacy. Would that long-term and considered resolutions might be found to overthrow the faction mentality. Such tragedy when peoples and nations with such inner beauty and grace become prey to warring minorities who operate their own tyrannies in the name of freedom. This is deeply moving and of the nature of an epic lament. I adore your classical use of language and the ease with which you operate such a rhetorical and gracious flow.
