One can’t be two

If you say, “This wine is tasty
and I want to drink more,”
then my friend the truth is this,
by saying so, you are looking for
a reason to drink more.
And if you say, “This wine is tasteless
and I don’t want to drink it,”
then my friend the truth is this,
by saying so, yet you are looking for
a reason to sip various wines
one glass after the other.
Hence, remember, my friend!
Nobody drinks wine
for the taste
they drink it
to forget themselves.
