What Is Inside Our Heart?

There is an Earthquake inside our heart
Anytime it can fracture the palace
Of our soul and ambush us between
The two bricks of revulsion and love

There is a sleeping Volcano inside our heart
Anytime it can rise, rupture its hot lava
And burn the channel of our sweet love
With the molten rock of perpetual disgust

There is a wild Hurricane inside our heart
Anytime it can detach our loves soul
And deracinate the jungle of our love
By it's lethal ambiance of devastation

There is a Sahara Desert inside our heart
Anytime it can envelope love, with
The scorching dry sands of distrust
And burn its trust till it fades to lust

There is a Watercourse inside our heart
Anytime it can submerge our love
Beneath the loam of murky tragedy
And make us desperate evermore
