A sense of security and self esteem installed
Generations of children do follow
His trademark everyone knows
A zip up cardigan sweater and sneakers
Giving off a sense of stability
A man with a soft spoken voice
The little things we didn't know
This wonderful inspiration of a man
Ordained in 1962 by the Pittsburgh Presbytery
Never given a pulpit to preach on Sundays
Instead given a ministry
To provide television for children and families
He's a man who carried notes in his wallet from young and old
Daily he would pray for them
Our lives enriched for three decades
By a man that made us feel safe
A man with a twinkle of gentle acknowledge in his eyes
His huge warm caring heart shared with all
A friend to all we all shall miss

Mr. Rogers was well respected any where he went his tv shows will and he shall always be remembered
Such a beautiful tribute to a fabulous man who devoted his life to helping others deal with the issues which so many failed to address. He was a voice of reason and got life to a level which a child could easily understand, unlike any other person before or after him and he will be sorely missed.
