For eight decades making us laugh
Hosted eighteen award shows
Made fifty-four movies, musicals, broadway shows
In 1940 made seven road films with his dear friend Bing Crosby
Four beauiful children all adopted
One favorite time of the year would be spent away from home his children and wife
In 1941 radio broadcast for troops in World War II was his first show
Cheering up men who desperately needed it
He visited the men and women in Viet Nam nine times
His hardest act was perfoming while looking at the injured or sick
The suffering and dying of many young men
A dedicated commitment not many can make
November 23, 1996 was his last television appearance
Knowing he was slowing down in life
Looking back at a wonderful, successful life of laughter
Today July 28, 2003, Robert (Bob) Hope passed away at the age of 100 years old
To a wonderful man that brought laughter to millions
