My heart raced.
Will he come late?
I wrung my hands together as I paced the floor,
Waiting for him.
Through the door,
He stood like a rogue from a book.
A savior to release me from my grief,
To console.
I danced,
For the first time remembering the steps.
He moved like a dream.
The fluidity hypnotizing me with its process.
And I’m in love…
With him.
Revealing.
Again he took my hand,
Passing warmth from one to the other.
But with one silver band slipping through,
Sparkling…
The question was turned around.
He said yes.

Well now what and I guess that is the answer. Well done.
Oh, this is a gem, it surely is. Loved the line ". . . like a rogue from a book." Yes. You gave the reader the right amount of antisipation in the beginning to set up the last part of your well-written poem perfectly. Good.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
Are you in love?
Peruvian or Scottish?
