You said, “I bet you’re beautiful when you smile.”
When coming from the mouth of a stranger,
Believing what you can’t see for yourself,
Shouldn’t make sense.
But that doesn’t make it a lie.
And it doesn’t make you tell the truth.
Just as when you said, “I’m sorry.”
And I said, “I don’t care anymore...”
It was believable,
But I lied...
To me, there’s nothing more mysterious,
Than snowfall on a clear night.
A once-in-a-lifetime chance,
To go dancing in it before it melts away.
Leaving nothing behind but that short, livelong moment.
It doesn’t belong together,
But it’s not inconceivable...
Some say death is the end of all life.
But they haven’t met us,
Have they?
I tell them that you’ve left this world behind.
And that I’m surviving it without you.
All the beauty of earth, all its natural wonders, somehow pale, when we are in pain, but the thing is, they stay there, for us to appreciate when the pain lifts.....
This is very painful write with a lot of sincere feelings coming out in the strong descriptives you add. I have danced with romance in the first snow of winter and it is a memory that remains forever lodged.
