An air of dignity breathes through your words. I like that you begin with the word "beyond" - it is hopeful and beckons a new beginning. Your simplicity here exudes deep respect.
Images of that day will always be remembered; etched not only in our minds, but in our hearts. So many victims...so many heroes! You bring the vivid scenes back with your few words, Gene!

I hate this day. I love the remembrances that it evokes, but I hate this day. Oh, some would say I should not hate. I hate them. And we are still ass-kissing our enemies.
We should have been feeling sadness and yet, after eight years, the only thing I feel is rage and frustration, we should have wipe out that human pest and to hell with the collateral damage! Their innocent people aren't better than the ones they killed here.
