The danger is the criticism is often purely subjective,
and can put people off without observing and assessing
for themselves...
I found myself doing just that yesterday in selecting some
books and being influenced by some negative criticism...
Or, we could look at it another way. Critics often help people of creative nature to improve their work. But if the criticism is not constructive or helpful, the best thing that a sane person can do is simply ignore it.
