SMOKING CAT

Sometimes I am afraid to mentally verbalize
The things that I want.........
I hold private superstitions

The thought will stay in my soul
But I don't dare project the outcome
I am afraid
That if I do
I will jinx it

So its like having a sneeze at the tip of my nose
That NEVER comes out
Only I know it is there
I alone feel it.....

In the old days
It was thought
That when you sneezed
The devil was bothering you
And the sneeze blew the evil away

I could sure use a good sneeze.........

Smoke makes me sneeze

In the old days,
They burned incense
To ward away evil spirits

Cats make me sneeze

In the old days
Cats were thought to be familiars
Of people who dabbled in the black arts

Pepper.....

You guessed it!
Makes me sneeze
I do like it,
But never use it on my food


Maybe I should hang around with
A smoking cat
Who uses lots of pepper...........

Have a long sneezing fit.........
and
Forget about my superstitions
