Too Simple For Words

Its the simplest gift that can be rendered
Greater than riches, beyond mortal splendor
Filling one's heart, over the brim
Drowning in pleasure, forgetting to swim

What can be given, with no thought to cost?
Warming a glacier, melting it's frost
Within every grasp, so easy to give
Blazing thru darkness, out weighing chagrin

Sometimes its kept under wraps in the dark
Or clutched to for safety, as waves toss the ark
It has no substance, or form you can feel
But when it enfolds you.....you know its for real
