"It has been a difficult thing," I admitted,
"To get this meeting with you, O Heaven!
I should like to hear a word from you
Before I pay my final tribute to the world
Which has been so nicely created by you, O Lord!"
Heaven said, "Ah, man! Your exhausted
Mind and body need to be nourished.
Do you only take your position of inactivity
And things will become transformed
And well accomplished of themselves."
"For this," then Heaven said, "Neglect all
Your minor problems; cast out from you
Your power of hearing and acuity of sight;
Forget that you have a head start on others;
Cultivate a grand similarity with chaos;
Unloose your mind, set your spirit free;
Be still as if you have no soul, and thus
You will injure no one in all the six worlds!"
In a while Heaven added, "If you have
No more questions, man, I am going
To leave you in my dancing way
And return to my garden of delight
Where I'm reveling in all day and night."
Love ya!
Jane
Always,
Deborah
Since I am tired of and retired from the grind of work for other people's desires, I now spend my days and nights reveling in my own desires like reading and comment on poems like yours and working at my own pace on my novels. My little heaven on earth.
