He who knows his ugliness

Is extremely ugly no more;

He who knows his foolishness

Is not utter fool; he who knows

That he is under a delusion

Is not greatly deluded.

He who is greatly deluded

Never shakes the delusion off;

He who is utter fool, all his life

Will not become intelligent.

If three men were walking together,

And only one of them was deluded

As to their direction, they might yet

Reach their point of destination,

But if two of them were deluded,

They would not do so, as the deluded

Being considered the majority.

At the present time,

When the entire world

Is under a great delusion,

Though I pray all men

To go in the right way

To reach the proper aim,

I cannot make them do so. . .

Such a sad case it is

To feel oneself helpless, isn't it?
