Poem Artwork

As is well known, all things are but

Form and visibility. The question is:

If this world is still supported by

Saintly perfect men, where they are?

What is the reason I don't see them

In broad daylight? I've also been told

That a true man attains to be, as it were,

Without any formation and beyond

The capability of being transformed.

Nowadays, when one attains to this

And carries it out to the highest degree,

How can other things come into his way

To prevent him from moving forward?

He occupies the place assigned to him

Without going beyond it, and lies hidden

In the clue which certainly has no end.

He studies with delight the process which

Gives the beginning and ending to things.

By gathering his nature into a unity,

By nourishing his vital power,

By concentrating his virtue, effortlessly,

He penetrates to the creating of everything.

In this condition, with the heavenly part

Of his constitution kept entire, and with

No crevice in his spiritual development,

How can worldly things and matters

Enter and disturb his serenity

Founded on his capability for invisibility!

Reminds me of a poem I did about a year ago. An interesting subject well handled here. John
