Prince Victor lit the torch, placed a pot of burning incense in the center of the figure, and stood stil. At exactly twelve noon, the ritual began. He raised his arms to heaven, drew strength from the sun, and recited the fairy quest oracle:

Element of Earth - I invoke thee,
Element of Air  - I call thee,
Element of Fire - I beg thee,
Element of Water - I ask thee,
Element of Love - I need thee.

Come to me and give thy key,
Unlock thy gift and let me be,
The source of strength,
To fight the enemy,
And I promise I won't fail thee.

The cloud moved from the gentle commands of the wind, cleared the sky, and gave Prince Victor full acess to sunlight. Warm breezes wrapped his body, its power sufficient to carry him away from the human plane.
