She walked through the field

In the hot summer sun,

There was a warm summer breeze

 blowing the grass and wildflowers.

She stopped for a moment to admire

A large white flower, so lacy and frilly.

She felt something brush against her leg.

Fearing that it was some form of insect

She reached down to brush it away.

She saw a smaller flower much like the first

But greenish in color.

She heard it’s gentle whisper saying

Take me for I am younger you see

And tomorrow her beauty will fade

And be reincarnated in me.
