Sometimes life does get you down. This was written on one of those days.

COLD, WET, AND LONELY

It’s like a cloud, this loneliness,
Thick, greasy, dark, enveloping:
A storm front stalled,
Directly over me,
But no thunder or lightning,
No gushes or torrents,
But a drip, drip drizzliness,
Cold as the grave, ice cold,
With a clammy dampness:
Penetrating, wet, icy fingers
That feel like unforgiveness.

Chip,

I've also felt those icy fingers. I'm sorry that you have. Keep the faith, my friend.

Love and blessings,
~Linda

It's better to be cold wet and even lonely than to go through the abusive relationship i went through this week. I had to end it after putting up with it to the utmost extent. Why i took it that long - i thought i could but abuse isn't to be taken by anyone.

I think we all have those feelings at one time or another. Some like yourself are brave enough to share them. Cheer up

Reminds me of my poem, A Slow-Moving Front. One of the nice things about a down, and dark and dreary, lonely day like this is that sooner or later the sun will come out and everything will look a lot better.

Cheer up, Chip. Certain parts of my body are always like that. :)
