Maybe I know

Since I have met you I have to believe in something larger than life.
I’ve admired people. I’ve fallen in and out of love before,
But there is a distinction here I can’t shake.
You are saving my life.
You bring spirit, joy, happiness, all that is beautiful,
And you just give it to me.
Every time I’m with you I’m a changed man.
But you have competition, not for my heart- ever-
But for my soul.
You so have my heart,
But others have my time.
I’m a yoyo in and out of your world
So terrified the string is going to break,
And one day I won’t be able to come back to you.
I would be lost.
You make me realize the sacrifice of angels
Missing Heaven to help us.
Are we worth that?
You are.
All I ever do is wonder
Why such a precious angel is ministering to me.
You say it’s nothing, and by all accounts
My worship is not going to your head.
Maybe I know why you are here for me.
I’m the only one who truly sees you.
