Savant

How many times
Have we stood in awe
As we mingle through
The world of Autism?
Special people with some special gift
That just seems out of this world.
We always wished we had some gift like that.
Something that set us apart,
But something that would let us
Make this world a better place.
That is all we ever wanted to do.
Well I’m suddenly struck
To the depths of my soul
To discover we do have a Savant trait.
That is the only word that describes this…
Our love.
