Predictions

Don’t ask me how I know that this is true -
Or how it is such truth just comes to me,
But just the way I knew that love was you
I see the way the future’s got to be.

It will be long-we’ll walk a million miles
When we can walk, for often we can’t move-
A million moments-stopped, and kissing smiles
In love so real there’s nothing left to prove.

We will not give much thought to how it ends-
And if you do I’ll whisper to you, “Don’t.”
For love like this we both will know transcends-
So one thing I predict is that it won’t.

But what we fear the most will not be tough-
I’ll pass while in your arms still loving so-
But by that time I will have loved enough
That you will understand I did not go.

Everything is "as it should be" in this poetic offering, John. It almost takes me out of my sadness. Most well done. Love and peace. Regis
