Those Eyes

There’s nowhere I’m going-

I’m caught in those lights-

It’s some kind of knowing-

Life turned on the brights.

I ought to be frightened-

I’m caught by surprise-

But life has been brightened

To look in those eyes.

I wasn’t expecting-

It can’t be this good-

My own love respecting-

I do as I should…

But sometimes a vision-

From clear bright blue skies-

Just makes my decision

To look in those eyes.

I’m sorry, I’m staring-

Forgive me now please-

I’m feeling, I’m sharing,

I’m down on my knees,

Divinity graces-

A lonely man cries;

And finds his heart races

To look in those eyes.

Is seeing believing?

Just pinch me, its real-

A gift I’m receiving-

The way I can feel-

I’m storybook dreaming

A wish that now flies-

As all hearts are scheming

To look in those eyes.
