My laptop crashed with your poem lost
And me- too numb to count the cost
Those words I used to paint your face
Have vanished into cyberspace.
Some folks may say, “Just try again,”
To write the way I did just then
But no first kiss a second time-
I’ve lost much more than just the rhyme.
For now I’ve had the time to think-
And watch my heart begin to sink
And join the others, all afraid
What difference that it might have made?
But grief for me is quite a friend
With messages it has to send
Yes even as I fall apart
It beckons- look into your heart.
And there you are- in all your glory-
Nothing will defeat my story-
All I might have said to you
Is love that you already knew.

Such love and its words of description are too precious to lose!

The real genius would be develop a computer that would not lose anything when either its hardware or software decides to have a hickcup. No, these nerds love to do complicated things which make it hard for poetry to survive beyond the fleeting thought.
