Beyond

Between the now where I reside-
So every breath is drawn-
And dreams a sacred heart would hide-
Anticipating dawn.

I count each breath and draw a line-
To mark that I’ve been here.
A part of everything’s design-
It’s all becoming clear.

Beyond- the gravity of space-
The echoes of my heart-
It’s all about one precious face-
The swirl becoming art.

Through all repeating history
Of humble love’s refrain,
We poet’s chase the mystery-
The thunder and the rain.

Though time adjusts the focus some,
It’s none of my concern.
I’ll recognize you when you come,
It’s all we have to learn.

Our destiny is not a choice-
But hope and prayer combined,
I close my eyes and hear your voice-
Love has been assigned.
