If a genie gave three wishes, and I only had to choose
The day and time that each of them comes true ,
I could surly wait forever when I knew I couldn't lose,
And I would someday get to dance with you.
But until I find that genie I'll be wishing on a star
And listen to the music softly play.
And I'll feel my heartbeat skipping when I think of how you are
A dream that I can wish for everyday.
If there really is a reason that our wishes come in threes
I still would ask if mine could stop at one,
Just because my heart is wishing and the only thing it sees
Is after you all wishing would be done.
So I'll take my shiny pennies and I'll throw them in a well,
For any means that there might be a chance,
For the best of all my wishes that I ever dare to tell,
If you will one day join me in that dance.
