I hear the lonely voices call
As if my ears against the wall
Are meant to hear the things they say,
But all that I can do is pray...
Dear God, such pain of love denied
With me here on the other side
Just wishing that the wall would break,
But then what difference could it make?
For I am one who has the love
These lonely hearts are dreaming of,
For eighteen years I've worn the ring
The voices think is everything.
But love was not some prize I found
By searching, searching all around,
But something that I learned to do,
And that is when my dream came true .
Be sure, my heart so often bled
But shattered dreams and tears I shed
Were making me a better man
If only I'd embrace the plan.
The love that hearts are looking for
Is always knocking at the door,
But closer than our hearts believe,
A love in us that wants to leave.
So working through the pain and doubt
To find the love we must let out,
We need to be the love we need
And find the hearts that we can feed.
So, to the voices that I hear:
My love and prayers are very near,
My greatest wish is this by far...
For you to know the love you are.

After reading so many of your poems I'm beginning to think you're a genious,...I cannot express my admiration for your talent...your grandpa is bursting with pride..:)
