For just one moment – think about the odds,
With all the life this universe must hold,
That we should be so blessed by all the gods
To meet with souls that shine of purest gold.
We scarcely held our feelings from the start,
Anticipation setting us aglow
With healing rays that reached in to each heart
From strangers that we must already know.
How instantly we felt so much at ease,
As if we had an angel at our side,
Such precious hearts that only aim to please
And bring to life a joy that’s been denied.
So now my friend the journey has begun,
You never need to walk without my hand,
Two hearts that have discovered they are one
With love that only we can understand.
What do you think the odds are of finding one so kind?
A kindred spirit of heart and mind.
One that outshines the brightest evening star...
One who's as humble as fireflies in a jar.
What are the odds of find one so rare?
You're the one I think of beyond all compare!
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
A kindred spirit of heart and mind.
One that outshines the brightest evening star...
One who's as humble as fireflies in a jar.
What are the odds of find one so rare?
You're the one I think of beyond all compare!
