How much can one sweet lady touch my heart?
How deep can grow the hunger in my soul?
How long can I endure to be apart
From one I need in order to be whole?
And now that I’ve discovered who you are,
Professed the love that always was for you,
How can I reach across the span so far
And finally touch the love I know is true ?
I do believe without the slightest doubt
That I am meant for you and you for me.
The feelings that are finally coming out
Have given to us both our ecstacy.
With only time and distance in our way
Our dream was born; we must not let it fail.
But know we’re moving toward that better day
When all our aspirations will prevail.
