Don’t Tell Me You’re Not Here.

I’m here in our gazebo, and I feel the morning breeze.
The day gives birth to springtime as the sun shines through the trees.
Though some may see a lonely man, I’m not as I appear.
My heart is full of magic so don’t tell me you’re not here.

So many people come to see the beauty of this place.
I know it’s all around me but I only see your face.
Of course I want to touch you but instead I catch a tear,
And feel what you have given me; don’t tell me you’re not here.

You know that as I came here we were walking hand in hand,
Though no one else could see it you and I can understand,
It’s really not mysterious for love has made it clear.
I can not live without you so don’t tell me you’re not here.

At times we may be conscious that we live so far apart
But mostly I just know that you are living in my heart.
No matter what it looks like no one else could be so near.
Forget the rest, the heart knows best, don’t tell me you’re not here.

You are so right, John...Gazebos can hold dear, the magical places for a poet's heart! So fitting that love is there, and all around ....for us to write about.

Hi John,
This is so beautiful..

Thanks for the comment
on mine...
I am glad it was special to you...

Also, Remember that
you are not without
her today...
For her spirit lives
within your heart...
She looks upon you
on this special Mother's Day, with
a warm smile on her
face...

Hugs,
Trixie

I normally don't comment, but this was great. I loved these lines:

So many people come to see the beauty of this place.
I know it’s all around me but I only see your face.
