Couldn't Be

You couldn't be more beautiful if Heaven had its way,
If angels had a grand salon- could take you in today.
I'd like to see their faces when they got a look at you,
For all their beauty miracles there's not a thing to do.

Though Heaven paints with rainbows that will decorate the sky,
And multicolored flowers where the humming birds will fly,
The sparkle of a waterfall, reflections in a pool,
To me you are a wondrous exception to the rule.

So down to earth, and yet with beauty I would rather see
Than anything that even Heaven has to offer me
If angels are beauticians you're the model that they use...
They look for beauty secrets while you're holding all the clues.

Perhaps there is a secret, which I think that we could share,
You just may be more beautiful because of how you care.
The love that lies inside of you keeps shining like a star,
And that must be the reason you're as gorgeous as you are.
