Perhaps the greatest journey that there’s ever going to be,
As much as we can know about as far as we can see;
Man’s deepest aspirations dare the least of us to say,
“If dreams become reality, we’ll follow you someday.”
But man can end the future even as it just begins,
The power that can lead us on can also lead to sins.
Though gods have trusted children with the means to reach the stars,
So far we’ve only reached for more, inflicting ugly scars.
Let’s turn our hearts to Voyager and all the gifts she beamed,
Her pictures of tomorrow if we listened and we dreamed.
There’s never been more reason or more need for us to feel
A hope for all the future in a fantasy that’s real.
