A year ago this past July, I lost my precious mother.
The year has passed- I don’t know why but I have lost another...
Another love as deep or even deeper if can be
I thought I had a keeper but I find she’s gone from me.

It’s probably coincidence and not to do with years,
No meaning in these incidents except to bring me tears.
And gasps for breath in disbelief that love can vanish so-
Like second death, there’s no relief, and nowhere I can go.

But how I wish to go away, and how I hate my heart-
Allowing me to feel this way when loved ones must depart.
One loss was fate- that ties must sever- much as rules this plan.
For one I’ll wait with cries forever- such a foolish man.

YOU? A foolish man?...NEVER!!!!!

YOU LOve!
Not many do,
that is why
there's no one
as wonderful as you!

OK NOW..get yourself together..there is much love out there just for YOU!!!

John, love is universal. as hard as it may seem there is love out there for you, open your window and let it in. A mother is something else, it's true they can't be replaced, but they can be lovingly remembered and given tribute, and with time you will feel less pain. I was very close to my mother and it took two years to get through to acceptance, but since I lost my son,(Years ago)I have never gotten over it, and can't write about it.Yet we do go on, because of whom we believe, and He does care if we let Him! Your writing shows that;-)

Dear John,

There is NOTHING like the bond between mother and son. My little man is my protector, he kills my spiders, he pats my back when I hold him :) --- my love for my little guy is priceless and can be compared to nothing else though I love my children equally. If something were to happen to me..I wouldn't want him to be sad but remember in his heart the memories. Memories to look back on and smile at to fill his soul with warmth. Live and flourish with those good memories for future generations to come. They should be journalized and passed down. Nobody will ever do her justice the way you do when you speak of her. You honor her - my friend, this poetry is a perfect example. From scribbles on paper, to circles that are supposed to be dogs and cats but look like lakes and oceans--to clay hand prints, the weeds from the back yard he greets me with as flowers and everything he makes for me-I keep :) This is how I know she would adore this tribute, I would be proud. Sad and teary piece of poetry but excellently displayed. Hopefully things will get better with time. Please be well.

Thank You,
Teresa Emilie

John..
As Tami says..don't hate your heart.
You have the most loving, tender
heart and it hurts me to see you
in such pain. They say time heals
all wounds but when someone loves as
deeply as you do sometimes memories
makes you bleed.
((((((((( John ))))))))
May each year your pain be less until
you can breath again.

Love,
~~Linda~~

Oh John, I can feel the pain in this one... But please don't hate your heart! You have such a warm, tender, caring heart. Hate the hurt, just don't hate your heart.

Hugs to you,
Tami

Sorry for your losses. Deep write that has been expressed quite skillfully by your heart. Even when the heart is hurting, it is better then not having one.
