Lighten Up.

There are those folk who live to dig up dirt.
How tragic is such waste of all their powers.
Unmindful in their wake they leave such hurt.
But chance for those who live for planting flowers.

How often it is those who most complain
Who mirror everything they say is wrong.
They are the ones who spread the greatest pain
And block when things could smoothly run along.

For most of us the truth is pretty clear,
And things are done the way they need to be.
The cries of those who want us all in fear
Fall on deaf ears, for most would rather see.

The world moves on and most receive it well,
We tidy our small corners here and there.
The few who live by screaming bloody Hell
Are missing opportunities to care.

For those who care all manage to survive
In spite of threats the sick at heart must throw.
Without their warnings we would even thrive,
What sick folk think- the well folks can not know.

I don’t perceive the horrors all around
That certain people want me to correct.
The only horrors I have ever found
Are in the attitudes that some reflect.

I won’t apologize for being nice,
For saying “Yes” to those who need my aid.
For me to give is not to sacrifice.
The world’s all right. No need to be afraid.

Remember, yes...
Relive it? - No
Because remembering is 'looking out the window' and acknowledging it as it passes by.
Reliving it is living with it camped on the lounge floor, while 'the present' is forced out of it's rightful place and remains banging at the front door...

Great write, John!
Thanks!

Life is too short to live in a fuss, John..
